We run this activity in after-school centers or social and healthcare facilities with a variety of board games adapted to the participants’ ages. We explain the rules to them in a simple and fun way and play together. The workshop is also suitable for all types of private events, such as birthdays, or cultural events of any kind.
For kids and teens, the activity offers a fun and educational experience, and its benefits include:
- Respect for others, oneself, and the rules.
- Solidarity and mutual aid.
- Logical thinking and problem-solving.
- Attention, memory, and observation.
- Language and fine motor skills.
- Creativity and academic skills (numbers, letters, words).
For seniors, the activity offers a fun experience and helps them preserve their cognitive functions:
- Reduced risk of dementia and depression (2019 study, National Library of Medicine).
